Hector Rail Group introduces John Smith as new Group CEO

John Smith, Managing Director of GB Railfright (GBRf), has been appointed as the new CEO of the parent company Hector Rail Group and will take up office on 8 January 2018. John Smith founded GB Railfright in 1999 and has been the Managing Director ever since. He has 33 years of experience in the railway industry including various management positions at British Rail and Anglia Railways. CEO of Hector Rail Group resigns

The CEO of the Hector Rail Group, Joakim Landholm, has decided to leave his position for personal reasons. "The decision to leave the Hector Rail Group was a difficult one. I am proud of what we have achieved this year, but I will resign for personal reasons," says Joakim Landholm. Hector Rail signs a full-service contract with mgw Service

On 12 July, Hector Rail and mgw Service signed a five-year full-service supply contract. Hector Rail signs new contract with LKAB

On 20 June, Hector Rail AB and LKAB signed a 5-year contract, starting in December 2017. LKAB is the largest iron ore producer in Europe and has its headquarters in Kiruna and Malmberget. Hector Rail is an independent freight logistics company for rail freight transport on the European market with operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany.
