Hector Rail buys 10 six-axle locomotives
Hector Rail has purchased ten six-axle locomotives from DB Schenker (DB Class 151). The locomotives were built in the mid 70s. The delivery will be in 2016 and 2017, the locomotives are powerful but still much more cost-effective to buy than new locomotives. This makes these locomotives an attractive solution for heavy short-distance transports. A total of 15 such locomotives were purchased in order to ensure cost-efficient refurbishment and secure delivery of the respective spare parts in the future.
