Hector Rail will transport more than 125,000 cars annually

Hector Rail and ARS Altmann have agreed that Hector Rail will transport cars from southern Germany. In total, Hector Rail will drive about 600,000 km per year for ARS Altmann. This agreement is valid for three years. ARS Altmann is a provider of wagon transport solutions and was founded in 1975. The wagons are provided by ARS Altmann and we are proud that ARS Altmann has placed so much trust in us in this business. Hector Rail and Samskip expand cooperation

Hector Rail and Samskip agreed on partnership in and around Sweden. From the first of January, six transport journeys per week between Helsingborg in Sweden and Dusiburg, in the Ruhr area in Germany, through Copenhagen in Denmark will be added to the existing operations. Hector Rail starts transport of 2.5 million cubic meters of logs at short notice

Hector Rail and Trätag AB have agreed that Hector Rail will begin to implement the so-called "Trätags concept" at short notice. This means that Hector Rail will transport around 2.5 million cubic meters of logs from various logging terminals to a number of grinding plants in central Sweden. The first trains are expected to arrive in a crowd before Christmas. Hector Rail continues transport of construction timber for Stora Enso until 2022

Hector Rail and Stora Enso have agreed to continue the cooperation of timber transport from Norway to a plant in Skoghall (Karlstad) and Grums until the end of 2022. The cooperation started in 2008 and the volume of the business has more than tripled since then, including the transport of an estimated 1.5 million cubic metres of timber from terminals in Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen. Hector Rail invests in five new Siemens Vectron locomotives

Hector Rail has signed an agreement with Siemens for the delivery of five new locomotives of the type "Vectron". The locomotives are electric, designed for the Scandinavian market and equipped with the so-called "Extra Miles" function. This means that the locomotives have a diesel engine installed and they are equipped with radio remote control. This allows effective shunting into and out of the terminals without possibly having access to a separate shunting locomotive. Under the agreement, there is an option to purchase 15 more locomotives by 2021, equipped with new ETCS rail safety systems. Two locomotives have already been built and will be delivered in 2016. These two locomotives are equipped with the conventional safety system without extra miles function. Hector Rail gets first German six-axle locomotive

Hector Rail has purchased ten used six-axle locomotives for the German market, plus five more as spare parts warehouses. Hector Rail has invested a lot in locomotive refurbishment and the first locomotive is now ready for the first implementation in new building conditions, or perhaps better than new. With this class of locomotives Hector Rail has a cost-efficient and powerful locomotive to make available to customers in the German market. Hector Rail innovates in everything we do. When the locomotives are refurbished, the tractive effort is increased and an air conditioning system is installed in the cab (not with the first locomotive, but the fleet is equipped with it). This is an important improvement to the locomotives with the expectations of locomotive drivers today. 730 metre long freight trains now running in Sweden

After several years of construction of previous lines for long trains and expansion of the double line, it is now possible to use the normal Swedish rails for 730 meter long freight trains. First comes hector rail. Lines with longer trains between Hallsberg - Malmö have proved their worth and now Hector Rail has started to run 730 meter long freight trains between Malmö and Katrineholm and between Malmö and Hallsberg. Sweden has built the previous lines for trains with a maximum length of 750 metres for several years.
